The purpose of this course is to give the diver an overview of the two (2) core and three (3) selected SDI specialties. This course is intended to be an introduction to each of the five (5) specialties. There are two core specialties; SDI Deep Diver and Navigation Diver. One (1) dive from each of the specialties may apply towards a complete specialty certification. Overhead environments and non diving specialties are not allowed and do not count towards the three (3) chosen specialties. If computer Nitrox is used as one of the elected specialties, the instructor must be an SDI Computer Nitrox instructor. |

Prerequisites for this course are:
- Open Water Scuba Diver certified.
- 18 years old.
- 10 years old with parental consent.
